Do i have a chance in hell?

If you make a strong improvement this year and next year, chances are you can get an admissions rep on your side and be pretty much forgiven for a weak freshman year. A lot of kids have bumpy first years. The important thing is that you have recognized that you must make big strides in your gpa NOW instead of later. Good job!

In terms of your track efforts, this EC may pay off for you as well, so keep up the hard work. I have no idea what a optimal time is for the 400, but I’m sure you can look at high school stat sites like Espn Rise, and get a good idea of what it will take to get a track scholarship. You may want to investigate recruiting sites like ncsasports.org and see if they would be helpful next year. Institutional need can be a strong determining factor in where you get into college, so do some research and see if you can make some coaching connections when you are technically allowed to reach out (according to NCAA rules). Get your track coach involved and let this person know that possibly running in college is something you want to pursue. The sooner you start really focusing on these goals, the better. Good luck this year with your grades!
