Also be aware that some students prefer and do better on the ACT than the SAT. The ACT has a science section but it isn’t really science— it’s data analysis. It can be intimidating when you first see it but becomes much easier with practice and familiarity.

The ACT science section is now optional. There are very, veryfew colleges requiring (or even recommending) the science section.

Ooh, that is good to know, my science is good but if it might diminish my score I’d rather not take it, and focus on improving my Math.
Good to know, my school is moderately big (2,500) student population. Not sure what my graduating class data is but i’m gonna say 500ish sophomores. The average for SAT scores is 1100.

Good to know! I think I will be purchasing some of these, although what I’m most weak in is Math.
Thank you, I will try not to be too discouraged as I have only taken the PSATs and do not know the full content of the SATs/ACTs, but I am currently looking for a tutor.
There are practice tests on the SAT site and there is free Khan Academy prep online.
