Do I have any chance AT ALL? (ED or RD)

Brown will not admit you “hands down.” No such thing. They reject 75% of valedictorians. Look it up. However, it is absolutely worth the cost of applying.

First, the good: sports looks solid- if you’re female, doubly so. The Mexican and poss-Tanzanian trips are def impressive. If Oxford is just a matter of you pay and you get in, it won’t mean as much as if it is competitive entry.

The I-dunno part: your alcoholism tale better wrap with some nice arc. Just a survivor tale will be a problem. (Btw, “If I say so myself” is not the test. Have someone back you up on its greatness- preferably a teacher experienced in coll app essays- not on CC.)
Your founder/pres bit looks odd. You’ve founded 2 subject clubs- and serve as pres- I wonder how much draw there was. And, it’s just not the same as founding a biz venture club to support kids somewhere. etc. Maybe these ECs go at the bottom of the list.
Last thing: a diversity trip to… Canada-??? Can you frame it? You worked with Native Americans, impoverished kids, what?
