<p>I had almost your exact stats. I took the SAT 2 more times and improved my reading and writing slightly. I took the ACT(definitely study a little for the science part) and got a 32 which put me into a better tier of schools. I got into all UC’s except for UCLA and also got in some great privates. Work really hard on your essays because I believe they can make a difference, especially if you are coming from a competative high school. I know people who were rejected from most UC’s with great stats and the only thing that could have been lacking were their essays.</p>
