<p>well for medical schools, basically any decent school will do. GPA, research, is the most important. if someone from UCI got a 4.0, and someone from CAL etc got a 3.5 ish. it would be in the UCI student’s favor. with med school, esp. prestige doesnt matter as much as say, law or business. </p>
<p>but yes, many UCSD students get into med schools- but the same can be said for many of the other UCs as well.</p>
<p>In fact, i have known many people who chose UCI over UCLA because they are more likely to get a higher GPA at UCI- plus there is less pressure- more laid back atmosphere compared to the man eating/ suicide causing competition at some of the tougher colleges.</p>
