<p>Yes, the delay most likely is because of VOIP. However, I do notice that some clients and overseas calls also have that delay, so I just cannot hung up the phone because of the delay. It is aggravating indeed. You just don’t hung up your FIL‘s phone merely he is calling from overseas，do you?^^</p>

<p>My mom always checks caller ID and doesn’t answer if she doesn’t recognize the number. She’s actually gotten calls where caller ID says ILLEGAL SCAM!</p>
