<p>Money should not be holding you back when it comes to a UC, there are avenues in place for all California residents to access public universities. I would definitely consider Davis if possible. There are so many financial aid opportunities, I’m just wondering if you’ve explored all of them? You should be able to make up the difference in tuition through FA and other avenues. Also, the difference in tuition between the two can’t be that much, right?</p>
<p>I just hear so much negative feedback about Merced, it’s almost more worth it to find a great CSU over Merced. Don’t mean to offend any Merced students out there, I’m sure it’s a fine school. But it’s reputation as the lowest ranking UC precedes itself.</p>
