No. People on these forums agonize over their decisions as if the school they attend makes so much of a difference. I’m not going to say Merced and Davis are clones, but in the end all the factors that matter come down to what you do. Get a good gpa, get to know some profs so you get strong recs, take part in research, spend some time getting exposure to the medical field in a volunteer or paid position (this is an unwritten requirement), study to get a good MCAT score. You can do these no matter which college you end up attending.</p>
