Do Out-of-state schools give grants?

What college?

The vast majority of public universities do not meet full need for all accepted students…so there is no guarantee you will get any grant money.

Most OOS students at public universities will not see aid that makes up the difference between in and out of state rates.

Some colleges have need based aid initiatives for low income accepted students (e.g Michigan). UVA, and UNC meet need for all students if you get accepted. Michigan comes close.

Are you applying to a college that is affordable? Or are you hoping that you will get a lot of grant money…

How much aid do you need? Where are you applying? You will get much better answers with specific schools. What is your parent annual income? Have you run the net price calculators for your colleges?
