do people have plastic surgery knowing the results will completely change them?

" When I was a kid (here) most of my friends had the Parks’ nose. I darn it…didn’t need one."

On the east coast it was the Diamond nose. I got mine when I was 16.

No doubt both Jane and Helen had work done. Fonda even admits it.

I did know Jane had work done, I think it was done extremely well. Christie Brinkley has had a lift, and I think she looks fantastic, although she looked great without it. But it did take 10-15 years off of her.

I recall reading something years ago on the then-new trend requiring women to look fabulous and trim as they aged that said basically, “Newsflash: if you didn’t look like Catherine Deneuve at 20 you will not look like Catherine Deneuve at 60.”

“It’s a given that there aren’t many good roles for actresses as they age”

That’s actually not so true nowadays. Television has been a boon to older actresses. The average age of Emmy nominated actresses is well over 40.

Like here’s the Best Acress Comedy nominees

Watching the Emmys and thought of this thread. Lily Tomlin (78), Dolly Parton (71), and Jane Fonda (79) all looked taut and great. Without a doubt, they’ve all had work done but by talented surgeons.

I wouldn’t have recognized Jane Fonda if they hadn’t mentioned her name
