<p>Of course, most top colleges do not even look at the writing section. Those who say that writing is given equal weight are typically people who studied and did well in writing (since it is easily mastered) and didn’t do as well in CR + Math. Every rep from the colleges I visited either said that they don’t consider the writing section because a. it too new so they don’t have the proper data to verify that it is an accurate predictor of college success, b. good grammar does not equal good writing or c. the essay is subjective, etc.</p>
