<p>The Berkeley math department has an advisory placement exam for students who have not had calculus but want to take a calculus course. However, it is not a mandatory prerequisite; most courses’ prerequisites are not enforced at registration time* (so it will be your own fault if you take a course without sufficient prerequisite preparation and fail).
