<p>I will add here that the UCs were the most straight-laced of any of the schools applied to. And I think I have said before that they were the only school that wanted certain marks for the IB scores just like UK schools. They are strict on how they interpret things so if you deviate from the norm, which I think might have been the case of my son, and many out of state and international students may deviate from California curriculum etc. , then it must be hard for them. What they say is what you get. I loved UCSB. But I wasn’t going.</p>
