<p>lizzardfire, I think the 80% statistic is wrong. I served on a few committees about this stuff and unless my recollection is really bad, the number is 50%. Considering that this is ever during a Caltech career (including one’s final summer at Caltech) I think it is actually a pretty low number.</p>
