It’s been fun to peek at some of these. Blighty is very very funny.

A fave of mine is Catalog Living (a look into the exciting lives of the people who live in your catalogs).

Alumother’s blog is great. I also follow FauxFuchsia, summerisaverb and unefemme.net, all of which I discovered through Alumother’s.

I follow fat free vegan blog.

Advanced Style (street photos of stylish elders) and little augury (can’t explain; have to see it)

designspongeonline

love the before and after, her gift suggestions, and the city descriptions (where to go, where to eat…)

Kat

and the living in section… living in various movies…

John Adams “Hell Mouth” (composer)
Joyce Di Donato (mezzo soprano)
Brian Dickie (director of COT)

I occasionally read Project Rungay. Those guys are hilarious. It seems like a number of parents here follow it too.

I checked out Blighty and really liked it! I really LOOOOVED Advanced Style, very cool and a good message for any woman young or old!

Vballmom-- that Catalog Living is a riot. You might also like Unhappy Hipsters – similar concept.

And of course Regretsy (NSFW).

I like UH too - haven’t visited there for a while, thanks for reminding me :)

Regretsy is a hoot!

I have so many blogs linked to my blog reader that I avoid going there, it’s too daunting. Information overload…

I follow RealDelia-Finding Yourself in Adulthood.

[Marginal Revolution](http://www.marginalrevolution.com/)

I really like “needled” at wordpress. Knitting, beautiful photos of northern England/Scotland and an inspiring story of recovering from a stroke. Not to mention some great film criticism and really thoughtful writing.

I also check out “Rex Parker does the NYT Crossword Puzzle”. Sometimes to see what we missed, but also because he has entertaining commentary Youtube links to song references and the like. It’s also interesting to hear someone’s opinions about how a crossword is constructed.

Thank you Pizzagirl for reading me and the others. I also read RealDelia, and little augury, and have had some online discussions with both Delia and Patricia - very nice, intelligent women. Some bloggers may be jerks, but I have mostly met great people. For men’s style and great Southern writing, I also recommend Maxminimus.

Alumother - honestly, not a day goes by I don’t check your blog. I really enjoy your writing and insight. I also have picked up reading Reggie Darling through your blog every now and then. It’s funny how some things on a side bar intrigue some people and not others. I have not a drop of High WASP-itude in me, but find it fascinating.

All you folks giving me additional ways to waste my time :/

Alumother, I am another regular reader. I love the writing and the anthropological perspective. Some day I’ll actually organize my thoughts enough to comment.
Through “privilege” I link to several other blogs: A Femme d"un Certain Age and Materfamilias.
An old favorite, which has been discontinued is Postcards from Cairo. It was written by Jenny Bowker, quilt maker and wife of a former Australian ambassador to Egypt, when they lived in Cairo. In light of recent events in Egypt, I really wish she were still blogging. She has a wonderful grasp on the Egyptian culture.

I read some of the blogs mentioned, and I have been following nerdyapplebottom on and off ever since her “my-son-is-gay” [My son is gay Nerdy Apple Bottom](http://nerdyapplebottom.com/2010/11/02/my-son-is-gay/) post went viral. (No, her son is not gay - not that there’s anything wrong with that - the viral post is about a five-year-old’s Halloween costume.)

I love cooking blogs

Pioneer Woman
Smitten Kitchen
David Lebovitz
Chocolate & Zucchini
Joy the Baker
