I have read somewhere along the way that Pittsburgh has the third highest population of Indians in the United States. There is a great Indian restaurant right next to campus ([India Garden](http://www.indiagarden.net/)), although I guess your opinion of it can vary based on the region you are from or used to.

Here is the first part of a five part documentary made by the local PBS station about the Indian community in Pittsburgh: [OnQ OnDemand: India In Pittsburgh](http://www.wqed.org/ondemand/onq.php?cat=19&id=480)

You might also be interested to know that the Indian community in Pittsburgh came together to build the [Indian Nationality Room](http://www.pitt.edu/~natrooms/countries/indian.html) one of the 27 Nationality Rooms in the university’s Cathedral of Learning.

And here is a link to the Pitt student club Indian Sub-Continent Association: [ISA - Indian Sub-Continent Association @ the University of Pittsburgh](http://www.pitt.edu/~sorc/isa/)
