Do you live in your hometown?

I live within miles of both houses I grew up in and our apartment building where I lived for many years. Why permanently move from paradise?

Yes, I do live in my hometown. Why? Because it’s Seattle, I’ve lived and traveled all over the US, and I like it the most. Laid back, friendly, athletic people. Mountains and water, anything you like.

Housing is pricey (but we bought 11 years ago), traffic can be a pain (we can usually avoid it), and it seems to rain far less than it used to. No state income tax, I want to stay!

Yes, well actually one town over. Couldn’t wait to leave, spent a few years moving around, but came back and raised my family here. Would like to leave again lol. I’ve impressed upon my two kids that there is nothing here for young professionals, that they have to leave to at least jump start a career, but it is a great place to raise kids ~ safe, good schools, everyone knows everyone…its been a trade-off, lucrative career vs. rural upbringing. Its getting increasingly difficult to afford to live here and young families are leaving and schools are closing now. Just a seasonal seaside village.
