We did new year cards without fail for over 20 years. Always picture cards - usually pictures of the kids, but once the cards started to offer multiple pictures, I pulled together several pictures of us, the kids and had great fun putting the card together. Used to send out about a 100 cards each year - including several to family overseas.
Somehow didn’t feel like sending them anymore since 2020 - so we’ve stopped. Keep getting asked by folks where our card is since we used to be so prompt - at least now, I know folks used to like getting our card 
Told S I might restart in a year or two and would be more inclined to restart if there were any additions to our family. He didn’t appreciate that nagging
