Do you think college really is harder than high school?

college was much easier than high school although it (obviously) depends on the high school and the college. i went to a high school where at least a third of the students (350 or so per class) went to top-20 colleges, so it was extremely rigorous. we had so much less time, and one’s grades depended on busywork and smaller assignments more than they did in college (thank god). i had to be very diligent and consistent to excel there.

getting to college was such a relief because there was more emphasis on performance on papers and exams. kids who didn’t do enough writing in high school really suffered, though.

hmmm i probably didn’t add anything new. i guess my point is that i am really grateful for my high school experience because it allowed me to get more out of college because i didn’t have to spend time in college learning to write.
