@siendkiaejdc according to students on Real Talk Princeton (google it for the link) if you search for “admissions” you’ll find several students who have requested their files in the hopes of reading what the adcoms said. Those files are destroyed pretty quickly, but you can still see your application (with essays). I’m not sure others can see it though.
Here is a quote from December 2016:
"Anonymous asked: how can we go read our admission files??
Response from Harvey:
You can send an email to the admissions office - the way I sent mine was a really professional/legal type message that mandated the office to show me my records. (I got it from someone else who did the same thing). If you want me to send it to you, just send in a question with your email + say you want the message. although i think it’s fine if you simply ask them LOL (but it’s more fun to be demanding/assertive with legal jargon/language haha)
Response from Princess Mia: I don’t believe that they do this anymore. I requested mine last year, and they sent me an email back saying that I could see a copy of my application, but nothing more.
Response from Harvey: oops, forgot to mention this - it depends on when you ask. they will delete their files on you by a certain point in the year, so make sure you ask early! i had a friend who asked i think during 2nd semester (?) and they only had the copy of the application"
