Does anyone else read their student's textbooks for fun?

@momocarly , I’d like to take a look at my children’s textbooks. Unfortunately, our local school board does not think it is necessary to provide school books for most classes. My elementary child has no textbooks. My middle school child has one textbook. My high school junior has one textbook.

It’s ridiculous.

@EconPop our high school was the same way. I’m getting to look at his college texts that are not digital (several of his books are only on-line even at college) and were cheaper to buy over the internet. I have no desire to read his biochem book that he will buy from the school. I’d love to read the material from some of his humanities courses but most of those are only available from the teacher or not given out til the last minute. I’d love to look through his anatomy and physiology text but that is on-line and he won’t have access to it until the fall. Lucky for me I do get to read his Farm Animal Reproduction text and it is quite interesting! He is in Switzerland right now so he has no idea I’m reading his text!

No and the thought never occurred to me.
