Does anyone know of any Safety-Ish schools located in cities?

I wouldn’t bother with Drexel unless you look over the majors and find an area you are definitely interested in studying. Most of their better departments are going to be math dependent. Temple would be a better Arts and Sciences choice.

Fordham has 2 campuses one in Manhattan and one in the Bronx depending on which experience you prefer.

@dhd713 Unless Drexel’s policy has recently changed, I don’t think it meets 100% of need. I just tried Drexel’s (very poor) NPC. For our family with a $0 FAFSA EFC and low assets, the COA was $30,000.

Drexel doesn’t meet need and has notoriously poor financial aid. For a $0 EFC student choices are limited. The best thing to do is to take rigorous classes senior year (but not so rigorous you’d be at risk of getting a D in any) and prep, prep, prep* any possible hour during the summer to take the August SAT and increase that score.

  • Figure out what notions you missed and shouldn't have. Gather lots of exercises (SAT/ACT or even regular) on Notion #1. Watch the Khan Academy video about the notion, do exercises until you do not get anything wrong ten times in a row. Push it aside, take notion #2. Repeat. Cover several notions. The following day, take the exercises and make sure you don't miss any. Retake whatever you missed.
