Does everyone have their popcorn ready for Harry & Meghan?

I wouldn’t want to go either if my kids were that little.

Many people with young children travel long distances to see family. She just might not want to go. Who knows.

That weekend is their son’s 4th birthday. Maybe she’d rather celebrate in her own home.

I don’t think they are that little; perhaps years ago, they would have been considered too young for a big journey, but not tofay. Also, the took Archie to South Africa when he was months old, and to Canada when he was about a year. Archie and his sister traveled to UK last year, and had her first birthday there.
They have their reasons for Harry traveling solo, but I doubt it is due to the kids’ ages.

They celebrated the little girl’s 1st birthday, all four of them, in UK last year.

I’m just thinking because the focus is on the coronation.

It’s not like they are lugging strollers and diaper bags down the aisle to get to their seats in economy class.

I thought I heard the youngest of Kate and William isn’t going to be part of a lot of the festivities because he has been a bit of a pill in public.

There has been speculation reported, but nothing official

I certainly hope that the news commentators do not keep mentioning Megan’s absence from the coronation throughout the ceremony. Several articles said that the sticking point about Harry’s coming was where he was going to sit.

I think he’ll be there for the first part, whisked away for the boring parts, and then back for the balcony.

The Queen said Charles was only at her coronation for a short (public) time when he was about 4, Anne for even less (just the balcony I think).

The focus on the 4th birthday is ridiculous IMHO. He’s just turning 4. Does anyone really think Archie knows what the actual day of his birthday is. Celebrate the week before or the week after. I would want to take them for any parts I could. They will be able to say later in life that they were at their Grandfathers coronation.

Plus, he would still get attention from his UK family on his actual birthday! Happy Birthday, Archie!

Kids aren’t invited.

Maybe 4 year olds aren’t, (nor should they be), but 8 year olds are.

Harry’s kids might not be at the actual coronation but there will be potentially missed opportunities for the kids to see their family at other times during the weekend.

I’m going to go out on a limb to say that coronation weekend is going to be pretty darn busy and that there will be other times to do a proper visit.

@momofboiler1 , And I get that but not sure when or if that proper visit would happen, given the tension these days. Having the kids there seeing grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, could have been an opportunity, might have softened things, but I am probably naive about that.

and meet his cousins aunts uncles & grandparents…

sorry, I see you already said that. nvm!!!
