Even if he lied on his visa app? e.g., if he said no drug use…which again is a hypothetical because we don’t know yet. But the judge is going to know.
Why is anyone spending time in him and his immigration status. We have millions of illegal in migrants in this country and more coming everyday. That is the problem we should be focusing on. This is just ridiculous!
I was just answering for the basic rule. My niece’s husband had a very hard time with documentation for his green card. He had been detained once in his teen years (early college) and spent a night in the clink. He honestly answered this on his application and the US wanted the Canadian paperwork. There was no paperwork. Canadians treated this like a jaywalking ticket. He had to start providing paperwork to prove a negative like a certificate form the RCMP that they had no records, from the City of Vancouver that it had no records, etc. They had to end up getting a lawyer to get the paperwork through, even after two trips to Montreal to the US consulate/embassy.
But he could pass back and forth over the border and stay in the US as long as he wanted. If there was a negative ruling on his application I don’t know what the situation would have been. I know it took almost 3 years for them to get the green card, mostly because of this arrest from 20 years prior. It was not drug related.
I don’t disagree but the judicial system has to deal with lawsuits that are filed.

You can get a work permit if you are married to a US citizen while you are waiting on a green card.
I don’t disagree that illegal immigration is a problem. But do we automatically give a pass to a wealthy white guy who likely violated an immigration law?
Why not? We are automatically giving a free pass to the millions of illegal immigrants at the southern border.
It’s just insincere to go after him and not the others. Why shouldn’t he get the same pass they do. And he’s at least married to an American citizen.
For what it’s worth, I have no use for Harry and Megan. I find them self absorbed and not very likeable.
Ask Elon Musk…
Or Justin Bieber, or …
At least Harry won’t be asking for public assistance.
But I agree that they should all have to follow the application rules and Harry needs to prove his worth to the US. As I said they put my niece and her husband thru the wringer to prove a negative so it doesn’t bother me that Harry has to stand in a line and prove things.
@ljs1:
If I’m correct, the Archewell Foundation presented (underwrote) the center stage presentation at SxSW.
Frankly it doesn’t matter to me. Why does it matter if the Archewell Foundation underwrote it…or even the entire International Women’s Day event at SXSW? The topic of empowering women and acknowledging issues women face is something they believe in. I think it’s nice to see they value giving a voice to those who may not get the same opportunities and attention. They don’t just write a check…they show up and do some work.
No argument there. I just noted that the Archewell Foundation underwrote it. It did, however, allow Meghan the opportunity to be a keynote speaker that I’m not sure she would otherwise have had.
That would be an interesting use of a nonprofit foundation’s funds, as a grant to a for-profit ( and indeed highly profitable) music and arts festival limited liability company ( SXSW).
Generally foundations make awards to charitable organizations.
This is hilarious and really a great picture of how media covers this couple.
…and pretty much anyone in the public eye.
That is hilarious and spot on!
