Just wondering? Do other ivies have honors programs?

they are honors programs

Harvard Honors College…

I know UPenn has at least a couple: the Benjamin Franklin Scholars Program and the Joseph Wharton Scholars Program. They mainly involve taking extra seminars or doing outside research. There is no “Honors College”, however. I think the entire school itself, like all the other Ivies, is an “Honor College” to begin with.

C’mon, it’s Harvard! That’s like saying “does the ocean have a water program?”.

[Harvard College :: other programs :: honors faqs :: honors faqs](http://www.college.harvard.edu/academics/resources/honors_faqs.html)

(First result of a search for “harvard college honors”. Google is a great thing.)

harvard itself is pretty much the highest honors possible haha…

That’s not really an “honors college” though. Honors like summa and magna cum laude are expected at any university.

An honors college is an entirely separate college within a university specifically for highly motivated and academically excelling individuals. They’re present mostly at large state universities. For example, ASU has the Barrett Honors College: [Barrett, The Honors College - Arizona State University](http://honors.asu.edu/) ). The only other thing I could imagine to be close to an honors college is an honors PROGRAM i.e. UMich’s honors program [University of Michigan Honors Program](LSA Honors Program | U-M LSA)

Harvard doesn’t have an honors college.

What kind of stupid question is this?

Ivies are honors colleges. Thats why they dont give stupid things like honors designations and scholarships and awards. Being allowed in is the greatest honor.

Yes, its called Harvard College.

They have an Advanced Standing program that allows one to graduate in three years and get a Master’s the fourth year. But the Master’s is limited to a few concentrations, so most students don’t opt for it.

Would you say the same thing about Cornell?
