Does not taking physics in HS look bad?

Have you taken any biology already? If so, you may want to consider Spanish 4 + whichever physics you want.

The most selective colleges may prefer to see year 4 or equivalent foreign language for frosh applicants. But, beyond that, many colleges have foreign language graduation requirements. Completing a higher level in high school may let you place higher into college foreign language courses and complete a college foreign language graduation requirement with fewer college courses, leaving more elective space in college.

Also, greater foreign language proficiency may be helpful in some social studies, humanities, and pre-professional (e.g. business and nursing) fields.
