Yup. DS has gotten into UB and Alb, waiting on Bing. But with the scholarships even he is thinking Albany is the way to go.
@unicorn777 - I don’t think the school knows yet. I got the sense that since this is the first year doing this, they are still trying to figure things out. Did you hear that everyone who made it to the interview stage is getting at least $1,000?
@UNYMom just got an email earlier today that DS is receiving the 3000 per year award

Daughter got this as well. Between the Presidential scholarship and this one and her being accepted to the honor’s college it is making SUNY Albany an attractive choice. It is really hard to decide between Albany and Binghamton. Bing has a better reputation but Albany is a very good SUNY school as well. Being in the honor’s college takes it up another notch for the opportunities available to her.
My son just got an email accepting him to the honors college! As it was our first choice, he will be attending!
Has anyone heard of the Financial Aid package as well? Took an official tour this past Friday. Lot better than wandering around campus memorial day weekend when it’s a ghost town.
I know. Waiting for the financial aid package from Albany. Gotten FA packages from New Paltz and Binghamton so far.
Has anyone else heard back from SUNY Albany Honors College? I e-mailed them 2 weeks ago and they said notifications will be sent last week and this week-but nothing yet.
@canovasu My son received a reply from the Honors College via email a couple of days ago, but he applied before October 1. When we visited UA last week, they made it sound like the response might be later for people who applied more recently.
