<p>The program doesn’t just focus on African Americans. I went to the University of Michigan TASS and we studied Hispanics and Asians in addition to African Americans. You don’t have to be black to go either. Though the majority of the kids are black, if you aren’t black you’ll fit in just fine. I think it would be helpful if you want to go into journalism or English to go to TASS. My writing improved a lot just from attending.</p>
