Does the Kaplan 2400 book go over all types of hard SAT math questions?

I would also like to hear some opinions on this book by anyone who used it. I need a good book to supplement my BB. IceQube recommended this so I was curious on what others have to say about it. I don’t want opinions on Kaplan in general, just on this book. Does it go over all types of hard questions in CR also?

I have the Kaplan SAT Strategies, Practice and Review 2011 Edition and I found that it was pretty useful. So far, the only thing that has bugged me was that the practice section on traps used on the SAT didn’t have the answers explained. Instead, they just directed you to the trap tip # to figure it out on your own. Other than that, the book explains why the answer is correct and why the others are incorrect pretty thoroughly. Not to mention it has tons of practice in it, which is always a plus!

So should I get the Kaplan 2400 or Kaplan Strategies, Practice and Review 2012?

It cost 20 dollars^ I suggest maybe getting it from the library first then buying the book if you really like it

Which one cost 20 dollars?

Sorry, I misread. Because I was looking a the Kaplan SAT Strategies, Practice and Review 2011 Edition with CD. Sorry.

How is Grubers 2400? I am looking for a math centered book.

^Gruber’s 2400 is a piece of crap. Most of the questions in it are straight from the regular Gruber’s SAT book.

That blows. I guess I will stick with Chung then, it’s doing much better then 99% of the other math books.

I thought Grubers 2400 would help in CR/W as well. But what about CR/W in barrons 2400?

The Barron’s 2400 writing section is useful. The questions are extremely hard, that’s for sure.

If you need a back-to-basics, grammar 101 course, you’ll want the regular Gruber’s book (not the 2400 book). It has an immensely detailed and useful 50+ page review of English grammar :D. The Barron’s 2400 book only skims over grammar.

I got the Kaplan 2400 book and loved it. That’s all I used to study and wound up with a 2380 so I’d say it works.

^Hey - your a genius :). Congrats on your 2380 :D.

Actually if you need back-to-back grammar 101 I suggest barron. Seriously, I read it about 5 times and now I increased about 150 points.

@xjackieo did u finish the whole book?

Yeah, Barron’s Harry Potter references are cute … :bleh
