Does USC accept AP's?

You can get 4 units of credit each plus waived out of 2 GE reqs:

*AP US History or AP European History score of 4 or 5
*AP Bio or AP Chem score of 4 or 5

I believe you can waive out of your 3 semester foreign language req with AP Lang 4 or 5, but you only receive 4 units of credit

All other APs give 4 units elective credit.

Generally, the more AP credit you come in with counts toward units needed to graduate–at USC it’s 128 units, however you still need to satisfy the reqs of your major/minor or double majors–and that may mean you don’t really take any advantage from those banked elective credits.

For anyone who seriously wants to graduate in 3 years, you can use the elective credits and 2 GEs for up to 32 units, and complete most single majors. When you start adding more majors, or if you are getting a BFA or other specialized degree, there may not be a way to complete it all in 3 years.
