Does Wellesley not like ACT-only applications?

Probably. 29% isn’t much lower than their overall acceptance rate, which is like 34, 35%, something like that. Personally, I do believe that it is a slight unconscious advantage to having, say, a 750 average across the SAT I and two or three SAT II’s vs. having a single equivalent ACT score, but that’s just me–I’ve never heard that even hinted at by any college officials. If you have a good ACT score, feel free to submit that without worrying that it will affect your chances. If you are very worried about it, you could always also submit SAT II scores to totally put you on even-footing with the SAT only applicants.
