<p>I’ve seen this discussed a few times before. Apparently Yale announced that they do not and will not be taking the writing portion of the SAT into account for admissions. However, if you look on their website at the profile of the incoming freshmen class, it does give you their average score ranges on the writing portion of the exam as well as the reading and math. This obviously means that someone at Yale was paying attention to those scores enough to want prospective students to be aware of what current student scored in the past. </p>
<p>Do with this information what you will, I really don’t know what to make of it. Best bet is probably just to do as well as you can so you don’t have any regrets.</p>
