Don't report 4s on AP exams?

Just to be accurate, MIT isn’t on the Common App. On their application, they “request” you list all AP scores. One does not leave them guessing, because they can (and do) reach out to ask about the omissions.

For the AP exams that MIT accepts for either credit, subject credit, or advanced placement, only 5 scores are accepted: https://firstyear.mit.edu/academics-exploration/ap-transfer-credit/advanced-placement/

However, MIT is a rarity among colleges that accept AP scores for anything (there are some colleges which do not accept any AP scores for anything). But there are are some colleges where most subjects where AP scores are accepted require 5 scores, with only a few where 4 scores are accepted (e.g. Princeton and Penn).

Thank you!!

I was using Yale/Mit as a generic “top school” but MIT a bad one to pick!! I had forgotten they were different…

And Georgetown and some places I am spacing on require all scores anyway, I believe. so definitely nuance all around…
