Dorms at Lafayette?

Kamine is a freshmen only, co-ed dorm located near the Sullivan Parking Garage. It is one of the dorms that has carpeting, an elevator and air conditioning. The rooms are a good size (not huge but not small either). One really big advantage to living in Kamine is that Simon’s - a sandwich deli with some amazing sandwiches - is attached to Kamine albeit with a different entrance.
Kamine is part of a residential set up that is located kinda downhill from the rest of campus. During early fall and spring, this is never really an issue although once it starts raining and snowing, it can get to be a bother, especially if you have an 8 am. Especially, if you are the kind of person who needs to go to the library or an academic building every night to study, then walking from Kamine every night can irritating sometimes. So, if you don’t mind a slight walk uphill in the snow at 8 am, then Kamine is a good pick.
Since Kamine is all freshmen and comparatively further from places like Farinon, you do tend to get form closer binds with the people in your dorm since you spend so much time there. Also, I consider living on a co-ed floor a much better experience that an all male / all female floor.

Kamine isn’t really a party dorm as such. It can get a little noisy there but that’s mostly just on the weekends.
