<p>I don’t think they’re allowed and they do actually do checks randomly. Unfortunately, some people had theirs taken away and had to find a mattress in the middle of the semester. I’m sure some people get away with it though. Honestly, just get a feather mattress. My roommate and I both used one and the RD said it was fine. Also they’re really comfortable 
Unless of course the feather mattress is too expensive, I just used mine from home. I guess if its too expensive just take the risk of the foam mattress.</p>
