<p>According to this chart, the English major requires 60 units and Physics requires 77 units. Add another 41 units for GER requirements (IHUM, PWR, language, 2 breadth), and you’re already at 178 of the 180 units needed for graduation. For this reason, Stanford tends to discourage double majors in favor of more breadth of courses.</p>
