Double major in Econ and IR and minor in Film

Ask about minoring in Cinema? No, she didn’t ask at orientation. She had investigated the process of acquiring a minor in Cinema/Television during the application process and before she made her commitment deposit. She had also investigated the process at UCLA [Film Minor | UCLA School of TFT](Film Minor - UCLA School of TFTUCLA School of TFT) and noted that it was a complicated, confusing process AND not everyone was accepted to the minor. Bleh! At Berkeley, there was not a minor in film offered. So USC was the obvious choice.

She took CTCS 190* first semester freshman year and CTCS 191* second semester and applied for the minor towards the end of her freshman year. She started other SCA courses as a sophomore. (*You only need ONE of these two courses - my kiddo just wanted to take both.)

It really is amazing how flexible USC is and how welcoming all of the various schools are. My daughter also walked into Thornton to ask if she could take classes or lessons and they were SO nice. (And yes, students with ANY major can take private music lessons from Thornton faculty and graduate students as part of their course load - amazing!)
