double major in film and computer science

Tufts is a long way from California, but this interdisciplinary Multimedia Arts Minor has been very popular. UCSB probably has some of the same course offerings. You can analyse this Tufts program, then see if there is a way to re-create it in the context of your UCSB curriculum. As ucbalumnus suggests, you want to skew your CS electives toward graphics/multimedia/game design/user interface design and possibly get some exposure to music/sound. You can also google around and see if any other schools have interdisciplinary programs that span the disciplines that you can get ideas from. As dreamschl suggests, its probably better to prioritize the CS stuff at the UG level then augment the arts stuff that you couldn’t get to with courses at the graduate level. Club activity, internships and/or work experience will help you hone in on the area you are most interested in and you can then adjust your academic focus to match the requirements of your specific area of interest.

Good luck, it is a fun and interesting field.
