Douglass vs. Busch (Pharmacy Major)

Too bad no one has answered this question yet.

I graduated many years ago from Rutgers pharmacy. I lived on Busch for a couple years, which was very convenient. I lived in Nichols and Richardson. Richardson was very convenient because the pharmacy school is a short walk away.

I lived off campus my last two years which was not as convenient but still doable.

It is definitely possible to live on Douglass while attending the pharmacy school, it is just not as convenient. Have you visited both campuses? You should definitely pick a nice day and just walk around both places to get a feel for walking distances and bus stops.

The biggest problem imo is if you have early or late classes because you have to add in commuting time, making your schedule even earlier and later. Also if you want to study in a group, I am guessing that most people will be residents of Busch and want to meet on Busch.

You will not have to make a housing decision until early March when the application comes out. You want to apply as early as possible in order to receive your first campus choice.

If you really want to live on Douglass, I would go for it freshman year, when your classes tend to be more scattered around different campuses. As you move on, more of your classes will be at Busch, and that is when you may want to live closer.
