<p>Yes, I’m definitely opposed. If it is known that a person is in this country illegally, they should be deported, not given special benefits that come from taxpayer money. If they want to register as a LEGAL citizen and actually pay the taxes that make lower in-state tuition possible, then that’s fine. But it’s not the legal citizens’ job to pay for illegal aliens’ education.</p>
<p>The only rationale I see in this is that it isn’t the kids fault that their parents came here illegally. However, presumably the parents will be paying for the college education and it is not right at all that they get this break when they are technically criminals.</p>
