Would anyone here dare to wear this? I pass
I can’t remember ever wearing a jumpsuit so wouldn’t start with that one. It has sooo much fabric it’s just not “me.”
It would look quite dramatic and elegant on the right body.
I actually think that jumpsuit is kind of stunning! Love it in black! Of course I’d never wear it or have the occasion to wear it but I think it’s a really nice piece. I can see someone pulling that off on a red carpet!
That NM jumpsuit is FMO. Did you click on the pink? Bold!
I think it is gorgeous and if I thought I had anywhere to wear it, I would seriously consider it!
Too much fabric for me, too, but looks very stylish and bold.
I am a fan of jumpsuits and bodysuits. No issues with tucked in tops ballooning out of the waistband (I hate even the slightest sighs of that - drives me nuts).
@BunsenBurner the half tuck look must really screw you to the ceiling!
I’ll pass on the jumpsuit but think it’s a really great piece. Sort of Disney-Princess-meets-Star-Trek but in a really cool way.
I wouldn’t wear it but I could see my daughter in law wearing it.
@yauponredux I like the Athleta pant you linked. I just wished I could try it on in several sizes without having to order multiple sizes. I also like both the pants that @deb922 linked. I’m not a 16 or I’d order the first pair. The paper bag style doesn’t work for me though I think they are cute. I am not going to wear a cropped top and I don’t tend to wear my t shirts tucked in.
@Hoggirl I guess I like Athleta colors. Most of my bottoms are black, denim or some variety of blue. I will buy workout clothes in a few other colors but I’m not a bright dresser.
@HouseChatte - I would never purposely wear anything half-tucked, so no issues here. But it doesn’t bother me when others choose to loook silly. The half-tucked look looks good on maybe 5% of the population. The rest looks like they were in a hurry to get out of the door in the morning.
I bet the look will be a good date stamp if you will on photos, just like some other fashion oddities. Remember peplum dresses that were everywhere just a few years back? Can’t see too many on anyone now. Bell sleeves are going in the same direction… very impractical. OTOH, things like leggings and skorts and the athleta pants liked above will linger for a long time because they are just comfy!
I like the french tuck for casual clothing, especially tshirts. I can’t stand a long tshirt with shorts/skorts. I mean I can’t stand it for me - I have even cut some of my athletic dry fit shirts for a shorter length (not midriff). I don’t fully tuck anything in - just a sensory dressing thing for me - hate the feel of tucked in anything.
I am a bright dresser. I don’t have much black (a blazer, some slacks…) because I have too many animals…
Oh yes. Dressing with the pets in mind. I love patterned clothes for that same reason- because they can hide the cat hair quite well. We have a spectrum of cats in the house… from white to black and everything in between.
Just found this at my local target and it’s much cuter on than even in the picture! Molded padded cups. Can dress it with flats, but I’ll also wear it with nude heeled gladiators for evening. The material in front is forgiving for tummies, too!
I would wear that jumpsuit, @BunsenBurner , but where? I don’t know.
I like the half tucked look on some things I wear, but not many things. The problem is it looks cool from the front, but then when I turn to the side you see my belly pooch.
Cute! Dumb question…so you don’t need a bra with it because the molded padded cups are doing the job for holding up the girls?
I avoid those cute thin-straps or halter tops because I don’t want to buy a new bra. I sometimes think I should get a halter bra, at a minimum.
@Midwest67 , yep, they hold up the girls! But I’m sure it depends on how large one is. It’s stretchy in back, definitely worth trying it on.
I bought another jumpsuit this summer that I wear a white lace bralette that didn’t have built in cups. I found it at Alter’d State. I like it because it had a deep V in front.

(If you want a lacy strap)
I have been having fun shopping at the new, large ARC thrift shop in town (especially on Saturday / half price on almost everything). There is huge variety of styles and sizes, and I can gamble on low cost items … then re-donate if not in love with them after a few wearings.
This Sat I bough a cute mini-ish linen skirt for $2. I wore it to church and then accidentally spilled a a bit of my lunch on it. Luckily the stain rinsed out easily, but if it hadn’t there would have been no tears shed.
My best purchase have been tops in atheletic / breathable fabric (like Nike Dri Fit), about $3 with markdown. Some items even still have the store tag on them.
Really cute jumpsuit @conmama
A good, solid thrift store is so fun!
I mostly use eBay now, but oh how I used to enjoy “the hunt” at our area’s best thrift store!
I bought a few running tops on eBay. (The best was a long sleeved, hooded thin Nike DriFit running top with thumb holes and hood, under $10 incl shipping). The selection is MUCH bigger. But you have to understand the brands/sizes or gamble cost & shipping fee if it does not fit…
