DS took ECON at CC, but the score is not very good

applepear, your son took microecon at a cc? Have the registrar of the community college send his transcript to the IUB Office of Admissions. The Office of Admissions will apply the grade to your son’s IUB transcript with a grade of “P” (for pass), along with three credits. I would be shocked if the admissions office at IUB considers an 81% a non-passing grade. Do this ASAP, as the credit for microecon needs to be on your son’s IUB transcript in time to register (probably the first or second week of November) for G202 in Spring 2015. Taking G202 and A100 as qualifying courses for Kelley admissions help him avoid a more difficult class (such as E201 at IUB). Make sure your son takes A100 this fall or in the spring.

Also, letter grades from cc’s and non-IU system campuses do not appear on the official IUB transcripts. Also, it is ridiculous for your son’s Kelley adviser to say that microecon is needed in order to apply to Kelley-- anybody who reads the standard admit rules see that that the adviser is mistaken. The part about Kelley looking at the actual cc letter grade sounds made up, too.
