Dual Degree: Columbia & Sciences Po for journalism

wow your plans seem a bit unplanned and rash. Not saying you shouldn’t shoot for your dreams or whatever, but this is slightly farfetched.
i can’t say anything about sciences po, but i’m pretty sure you will have a very very hard time convincing columbia’s journalism grad school that, at the age of 20, you are ready to do grad school already. also, i was taking a look at your stats in the bard page, and you expressed trouble reaching the 2100 mark on the SAT. i know you are a freshman in high school, but i remember when i was a freshman in high school a few years ago, i’d passed 2100 (higher rank too… you shouldn’t be doing so poorly freshman year…). and yet, it took me a LOT of effort to get into columbia (and i’m inclined to believe, by the dean of admission’s note encouraging me to participate in tons of music programs, that they ended up only accepting me because they need more good violinists in their orch). i’m not trying to put you down or anything, just giving you a reality check: there are people out there with perfect grades, perfect test scores, perfect well rounded ecs, etc who are applying for the same spot as you are. correct me if i’m wrong but i personally don’t even think grad school would be quite as interested in ec and stuff, they really want to see results.
Maybe you should just chill, try and do much better in school (hard classes is no excuse for a low ranking), and get to columbia grad/science po the normal way? you had honor roll only MOST of middle school, and now, come freshman year, you’re not quite doing so well either. with this trend, its hard to believe that you will excel in bard…
