We’ve got to add this to the worst baby names thread!
^^Already done!
Oh my.
Read the People comments. Pretty funny.
They should have named the kid Million. Middle name? Bucks. Million Bucks and counting…
Is it a family name? can’t fathom any other reason for picking that name!
That name, That’s awful.
And regarding the visit or pick up of Josh- if he was coming home for Thanksgiving, isn’t it a bit early? Does he have to shoot the turkey or something?!!!
Shoot the Turkey?
Either that or Choke the Chicken.
So does Spurgeon commit them to “S” for all the subsequent children?
Suggested ‘S’ baby name list from the Comments section of the People article:

Hi I’m Jessa and this is my family. Ben my wonderful husband and our children, Spurgeon, Surgeon, Spoon, Spectra, Salami, Salmon, Skittle, Skank, Scooter, Sqwak, Shelter, Shoe, Socks, Shirt, Suspender, Smock, Smooch, Snore, and Screech. Did you get that? Thats 19 children And I gave birth to every last one of them.
Naughty!
From the article: The baby is named after a 19th century Baptist preacher, Charles Haddon Spurgeon, that Ben Seewald admires. (Not sure why they didn’t just use Charles. . .)They said they do NOT plan to use all “S” names for their (potential/future) children.
I’ve looked up Spurgeon on urban dictionary but can only see one definition (that says basically bada$$). What is this mysterious 3rd definition?
What an awful first name. Spurge, spew, spur, etc., they’re all awful.
…and for my faults reading this thread, I’m now seeing ads for prenatal vitamins. Sorry, NatureMade, but I’m well past that.
^^^Hahaha!!!
I was reading some comments on a TIME Magazine post about the baby’s name. One person said Spurgeon reminds them of the word “sperm” - can’t disagree! Another begged the media to stop giving the family attention - they called the Duggars “religious Kardasians” - can’t disagree with that either!
The Karsdashians may be secretly religious, too. Seriously.
Greenwitch, “spurge,” in urban dict. Somewhat like abasket’s thought.
@Madison85 Are “Shoot the Turkey” or “Choke the Chicken” euphemisms for Josh’s activities?

Well that’s… better than Spurgeon?
The bad news is they could still go with a string of Q nicknames.
