^Really? I don’t see it as work being paid off; even if i don’t get in, i won’t be disappointed. I would like to get in because I actually want to go to a place where the students actually enjoy learning and are motivated. I guess that’s just me…

I see it as a great accomplishment to get into a school like Duke or Penn…Obviously, I want to go there b/c of the type of students that go there too (thats actually what i wrote my “Why____” essays on)

I just meant that if i have to go to a lesser school, i want it to be b/c we couldnt afford it, not bc i couldnt get accepted

Haha that reminds me of “I just want to get in so I can turn them down”

You can get student loans??

I’m stressing outtt. I’m reading my Duke supplement and thinking that my short essays kind of suck. :/

blueducky…don’t read em. there’s nothing you can do to change them, so there’s no reason to read them.

Haha pretty much

But I plan to go to med school so I don t want too much debt from undergrad.

I refused to read my essays after I’m submitted them!

i made the mistake of reading my essays too.

NOOOOOOO
this wait is unbearable. straight up emotional rollercoaster. i really, really just want to know. :(

I refused and banned everyone in my house from ever touching them.

But, 10 mins after I got home from the post office (to send in my Emory Scholars essay), my sister hold up my essay and goes “this ISNT the one you turned in, right?”

I had made a simple, obvious error and had overlooked it completely. It was too late.

It happens…

I made the mistake of putting “their” instead of “his or her” in my essay.

Life goes on.

^sampole, LOL. Don’t you just love it when that happens.

Oh yea, I was so scared when I saw that i left out the word “the” in the last sentence of my Regents scholarship stuff for UCLA. It didn’t matter. :)

Another time, I dropped supplementary info off at the post office, I went back an hour later to retrieve it because I accidentally put “Yale’s standards” in a letter addressed to Columbia. I think I’m in love with the post office lady.

yah i changed the structure of a sentence and then left the word “and” in it, and it completely didnt make sense…i just skipped right over it b/c i practically had the essay memorized when i was proofing it. It sucks, but life goes on.

i sent in the wrong copy of my common app accidentally. so i’m expecting a rejection. also, duke sent a letter to my school’s guidance office telling them to expect a lot of rejection this year

I heard those Standard don’t expect many admit letters went out to all the guidance counselors, even those that counselors who had students that had gotten likely lettters. Who knows?

Omg, about 2 more days…

“I heard those Standard don’t expect many admit letters went out to all the guidance counselors, even those that counselors who had students that had gotten likely lettters. Who knows?”

scratches head

lol

some people got UCLA regents invitations and were later rejected.

So my BSAI invitation does not guarantee acceptance?

You’re going to make me cry.

shut up bsai is basically an early acceptance. why would they spend so much money on ppl they were going to reject, think about it

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaa… Where are ID and PW? WTH

i’m wishing for a miracle.
