<p>@Alden0611 my understanding of Duke (and I could be wrong) is that most aid is need based. Most of the merit aid is “special” and needs to be applied for early-is more competition/interview based. </p>
<p>Our efc is quite a bit higher than the financial aid calculator said it would be, and a lot higher than other schools, so that is disappointing.</p>
