59,000+ applications
4% is wild, I’m so cooked
@motchabobatea did u check with ur friend who got in ED? How many addresses did they have
idk… no I didnt ask
one of my mailing address is my school address???
Good luck tonight everyone. I have a son who was admitted to Duke/Pratt ED in 2016, and I have a daughter who was admitted Duke/Trinity RD 2020 after being deferred ED.
I want to offer hope to those deferred ED, like my daughter was. Her deferral letter by Christoph Guttentag was a sobering email encouraging deferred students to apply to other schools. My D was crushed by her deferral. She really loved Duke, but she applied other places for RD and hoped for the best. The good news for deferred applicants is that you have a 10% chance of getting admitted to Duke RD. That’s what happened to my D.
I want to offer hope to RD applicants. My D was forced by Duke’s ED deferral to apply other places. In 2019, She applied to ivy league schools thinking she had almost no chance. On ivy day 2020, she was admitted regular decision to Princeton and Duke, denied Harvard and Cornell. So you see, you just never know. A small chance is not no chance.
Good luck again everyone. Of the campuses my kids attended (University of Virginia, Duke, and Princeton), Duke’s was the most magical. The best in beauty, hang outs, school spirit, weather, and fun.
does this work for anyone? not sure if it’s open yet https://admiss.ugrad.duke.edu/portal/chooseduke
I opened it and it said access denied
Doesn’t work for me. International…
good luck to everyone!! final decision!!!
Anyone else have no checklist other than the financial aid checklist???
The document checklist disappeared several days ago.
I just have one permanent and one mailing address, because I only live in one place ![]()
, why do people have multiple
same here idk why ppl have their school and stuff
Just curious how significant is it for Duke when you reached the individual semifinalist stage for their Robertson scholarship? (applied separately for it). I know they are two separate committees, but what if… (Duke is literally my last thread of hope
)
Does anybody know what this means. I got an interview and an idoc request, but on my portal my taxes say awaiting and not received/waived when they are uploaded in IDOC. I’m guessing if I was admitted they don’t need my taxes because I’m low income and I also got into cornell and they didn’t request my IDOC so I doubt they had access to my taxes and my finaid award was really generous. Or do you guys think that is a rejection?
did you let duke admissions know about this? i reached group semi and let them know
