@kobe248224 my sons portal is exactly the same. Four showing two outstanding. All were uploaded to IDOC well over a month ago. I called Financial aid and they said don’t worry as long as all is on IDOC. She said to call back if Duke has not updated the portal in 2 weeks
@Cantplayguitar I am 99.9% sure this means that we’re accepted. After all why would they want us on their campus the day the decisions come out?
@jfuture30 I appreciate the reassurance. That’s basically been my thoughts on it, especially because they’re offering financial aid for transportation. Do you think it’ll hurt my acceptance if I say I can’t come due to a previous commitment?
@jp1115 can I ask what the fifth document is? I have fed tax return, W-2, CSS, and FAFSA. The tax return and W2 are the outstanding documents.

Not everyone will have the fifth document request because not everyone files business taxes

My daughter did not write anything for that one, either. She said that the application implied it was you should submit if you were a minority. I never saw the actual application, so I don’t know what the wording was. Hopefully it doesn’t negatively affect either of you.
I believe decisions are expected 3/26. I think most merit finalist emails go out the early part of March. I’d guess sometime next week. @guccimanefan

I don’t think it implied that you should submit it if you’re a minority but I felt weird writing about it as an ORM. On a Reddit AMA, the senior dean of admissions + 4 other Duke AOs said that the optional supps were “truly optional” but idk if I believe that…
I just checked my sons portal and it now appears that Duke has received all of the documents that were missing. Also, in response to the optional essay he says he did not write one as he did not feel it applied to him.

I was invited to the Duke Black Student Alliance Invitational, but I don’t know if I should go because I’m only 1/4 black. I was pretty shocked when I got the email because I had mentioned this on my application. It sounds super fun, but I don’t know if I would feel out of place if it’s supposed to be for black students. How would other students who got this email feel if I was there?
Portal showing all financial aid forms have been downloaded this morning. That was not the case as of yesterday. Does anyone not show all forms downloaded?
Daughter’s portal now shows even more forms and all are showing received. Before, there were 4 forms and 2 showed as not being received, and now it is showing 7 forms and all are showing as received.
My portal also shows all forms downloaded.
Does anyone else’s portal not show 7 forms as downloaded? How many are everyone else seeing?
