Duke RD Roster

bsb: did you read my post at all? I bite my thumb at you!

in small short sentences: Shakespeare is like an ABC book. It teaches basics in analysis and organization. These skills are very important in all other fields. Discipline is good. It makes you a better person.

“I bite my thumb at you!”

Haha oh I did love Merchant of Venice! I found it to be pretty funny at some parts and really a good read.

Isn’t it in Romeo + Juliet, too? That’s my favorite of Shakespeare’s plays so far. I guess it isn’t appreciated that much by the literati, but it has a special place in my heart.

Oops, yeah. I mean R+J. I’m getting rusty!

What about Taming of the Shrew? I hear it’s pretty funny, but I don’t have the energy to take up reading it on top of the other stuff I have to do at the moment. I’ve also been told to read some Nabokov other than Lolita… I might be more partial to that suggestion because Nabokov’s writing style is just so damn exquisite.

Lolita=gorgeous and disturbing and so beautiful immoral. I’d give up twenty years of my life to write like that.

Taming of the Shrew is funny, up until the point where Kate gives up and becomes meek and obedient. grrr. such a waste.

Add me to the roster too. 1/402, 1440 SAT, 760/740/740 SAT 2’s (and one 600, but I’m hoping they won’t count that!) Trinity
