<p>It’s going to be interesting to see who out of this pool gets in. Especially since acceptance rates to Trinity seem like they will be much lower if the ED results are any indicator (ED Acceptance: 33% last year, 25.6% this year). On top of that–I’m sorry to say this for you Trinity applicants–they are really expanding the number of Pratt school acceptees this year because they are trying to make the engineering program larger; they are even building a new dorm on East that will be open next year. At the same time, unfortunately, Duke is keeping the entering freshman class at approximately the same size as last year. So I think that the Trinity acceptance rate might be slightly lower. Everyone, at least by their scores, is very very strong. However, I don’t think scores matter that much once you are around 1450 or greater. After that, it’s really what distinguishes you as an individual. I’m glad I got in ED, I think it would have been much harder for me to get in RD. That said, good luck to everyone, I wish you all the best.</p>
<p>Why would Duke be keeping the entering freshman class at approximately the same size if they’re building a new dorm? That doesn’t make any sense. I’m pretty sure they’re expanding Pratt and keeping Trinity about the same.
That said, I think the Trinity acceptance rate, and the overall rate, will be lower than last year, but I’m not sure how much.</p>
